Options

Options are attributes that can be added to a product when it is created. There are two main uses for options:

  1. To allow customers to select different variants of a product, such as different colors or sizes.
  2. To add specifications to a product, such as dimensions or material.

The user can add options to a subcategory when creating it. There are five types of options available:

  1. Text option: This type of option allows the user to enter text as a value.
  2. Color option: Each value has a name and a color code, allowing users to select a color from a predefined set of options.
  3. Image option: Each value has a name and an associated image, allowing users to select an image from a predefined set of options.
  4. Product image option: Each value has a name and is assigned an image from the product the option is assigned to.
  5. Input option: The values for this type of option are added in an input field in the product the option is assigned to.

After the options are created, they can be added to a subcategory. When a product is created and added to the subcategory, the options can be given values.

note

Options can be useful for providing customers with more information about a product and allowing them to choose the variant that best suits their needs. Make sure to carefully consider which options to add to a product or subcategory, as too many options can be overwhelming for customers.
